| As you stroll past tropical gardens, a free-form outdoor pool and a waterfall on your way to the spa, you know you're in for something special. The number of treatment rooms here is limited, with four single rooms and two for couples (so book well in advance), but when you consider that each includes a private outdoor spa garden with a Jacuzzi and a rain shower, you'll understand why. And what a spa garden it is; think draping cream cloth overhangs, pristine hardwood floors and verdant gardens with bamboo trees. All of the traditional treatments are offered, but your best bet is to take advantage of Eastern practices like the Oriental Harmony massage (HK$1,930); true to its name, the massage includes four hands working out your knots to ensure your muscles perform in perfect harmony. If you're feeling the effects of the city's pollution, a quick natural glow body scrub (HK$350) may be just what you need. Ground rice and orange zest soften your skin while pure sea salt and mint force out those icky toxins. In case you forgot your moisturizer at home, a quick spin through the elaborate boutique will have you restocked in no time - only problem is, once you become hooked on the Mandarin Oriental brand products, you'll have to come back to get more. |
