| The ancient art of balancing yin and yang proves fruitful at V Spa as the tranquility of Tuscany fuses with the cosmopolitan bustle of Asia. All signs of Venice-themed opulence are there in the hotel: renaissance murals, gilded architectural embellishments, melodious arias humming in the background. But once you enter the spa, Asia's exotic vibrancy takes over with bright textured walls and classic Asian furnishings. The treatment menu further embraces the harmonious balance with Eastern and Western therapies. The signature Invigorating Limoncello massage (HK$965) merges hints of Italian lemon with Asian lemongrass and will leave you slurring your words (and no, you're not drinking the stuff). The Tiramisu Delight (HK$1,181) may not have as much yang, but when coffee and whipped cream are involved, it hardly matters. This body treatment starts with a coffee wrap, and moves on to a natural sugar and cinnamon exfoliation. Even if you usually don't take sugar in your cup of joe, you'll like this treatment's recipe. |
